1.1 Who owns Linden Leaf Gifts?

Linden Leaf Gifts is a supported ministry of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN

1.2 What does fair & sustainable trade mean?

Sustainable and fair trade are terms referring to how products are selected for our store. Linden Leaf Gifts specifically chooses products which embody the value of justice in our town, our country and our world.

1.3 Why do you have so much alpaca stuff?

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods own and operate a small USDA organic farm which includes a herd of alpacas. While alpacas are native to South America, they are a docile and beneficial livestock for the climate here in Indiana. We participate in a North American cooperative of exclusively small time alpaca farms.

1.4 Is everything in your store handmade by the nuns?

While we do have a large quantity of items which are handmade by specific Sisters, the majority of our store items are not handmade but are selected for how they are made; specifically are they made from or with sustainable products bringing out economic and environmental justice.

1.5 How is shipping calculated?

Linden Leaf Gifts uses the United States Post Office for shipping although we are able to ship via UPS or Fedex when requested. Shipping rates are calculated by the USPS.
