Providence Hall Entrance postcard. Providence Hall was constructed during 1889 to 1890 and was unique for the period in which it was designed. It was the earliest campus structure to have electricity.  Its birth was strongly influenced by the patriarch Dietrich Bohlen.  Now in the 21st century of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, it has become one of the many beautiful homes for our beloved Sisters of Providence. Providence Hall continues to serve in the tradition of welcoming postulants to the SP Congregation. Postcard photography by S. Pat Linehan, Sister of Providence.
